Natural Ways to Get Rid of Acne Scars

Does your scar bother you? We at the Zara, Asian Bridal Makeup Artist London UK, bring you natural ways to get rid of acne scars. Nobody likes a scar on his face and wants it to go away.  It can affect your appearance and can make you feel less confident. An acne scar is formed as a part of the natural healing process following acne. When the second layer of skin, the dermis is damaged, our body makes collagen fibers to repair the damage, and that creates a scar. So a severe scar is made based on the severity of the damage.

There are different types of acne scars like Atrophic scars, Boxcar scars, and Ice pick scars:

Atrophic scars:

Atrophic scars are formed by the loss of tissue. They are seen flat against the upper layer of the skin. Atrophic scars form darker skin pigmentation than the rest of the skin.

Boxcar scars:

Boxcar scars are broad. They form a box-like depression and sharply defined edges.

Ice pick scars:

Ice pick scars are usually smaller. They are narrow scratches down into the skin's surface.

Best home remedies for acne scars:

Scars do not disappear, but they heal over time. However, some natural beauty hacks or DIYs can work wonders for your skin. Here are some of our effective home remedies to lighten your acne scars.

Aloe vera gel:

Take natural Aloe vera gel and apply the gel to the scar. Massage the gel over the scar in a circular motion.

Rinse it off after an hour with cold water. You can do this at least twice a week especially if you have oily skin. Aloe vera is a great moisturizer during summer.

Vitamin E capsule:

Cut a vitamin E capsule and squeeze the oil to apply it to the scar. Keep it for 10 minutes and massage the area around the scar. After 20 minutes you can wash it off with plain warm water. You can do this thrice a week if you have dry skin.

Honey:

Apply honey on your scar before going to bed. Cover it with a bandage and leave it on for a night. Wash the affected area of your skin in the morning with warm water. You can do this every night if you have dry skin. It is best during winter.

Coconut oil:

Take a tablespoon of coconut oil and heat it to liquefy. Massage the oil to the scar in a circular for about 10 minutes. Leave the skin to absorb the oil for one hour. You can do this every day if you have dry skin.

Apple cider vinegar

Add four tablespoons of distilled water with two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. You can take a cotton ball and dip it into the mixture. Apply the mixture on your scar generously and leave it for the whole night. Wash your skin in the morning. You can do this every night.
